We may collect the following information when you visit our site, register, request a quotation, complete a survey, or submit a form:

We use cookies to enhance the performance and functionality of our website and to understand how it is used. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in to your account, and our customer relationship and live-chat platform (HubSpot), when you allow optional cookies, sets cookies — such as __hstc, hubspotutk, __hssc, __hssrc and messagesUtk — to recognise returning visitors, measure visits and keep your chat conversation connected.

Essential cookies are always on, because the website cannot work without them. Optional cookies are set only if you choose Accept in the cookie notice; choose Decline and they are not set. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie choices” at the bottom of every page, or block cookies in your browser settings. Declining optional cookies stops HubSpot analytics and chat from loading but does not block the catalogue or the quotation form.

Separately, the website keeps simple daily totals — how many times each page was viewed, which site a visit came from, and whether it was on a phone, tablet or computer. This uses no cookies and stores nothing that identifies you: no visitor ID and no IP address. To count unique visitors in a day, your IP address and browser are combined with a random value that changes every day and is never saved, and only the resulting count is kept.

We may share information we collect with trusted third parties — such as service providers who help us operate the website, manage customer relationships and coordinate agreed deliveries. In the event of a business reorganization, merger or sale of assets, information may be transferred to the successor entity. We do not sell your personal data, and we disclose information where required by law.

We keep information only as long as we need it, and delete it automatically when its period ends. The periods are:

Quotation requests, orders, payments and complaints about them

They are commercial and tax records; Kenyan tax law requires records for at least five years, and seven covers disputes that arise late.

Chat conversations with our assistant or team

Long enough to follow up an enquiry that turns into a project.

Job applications, including CVs

Long enough to consider an applicant for a later opening; CVs are deleted with the application.

Newsletter subscription and the consent behind it

We email you only while you have agreed to it. When you unsubscribe we keep the address marked as unsubscribed, as proof that we must not email it.

Your account, saved products and project sites

They exist to serve you; delete your account and they go with it. Quotation records are kept for their seven years without the link to your account.

Search logs and server logs

Enough to diagnose problems and abuse, not a history of what you did.

You can delete your account at any time from your account's Security page. Copies we hold in our customer-relationship system (HubSpot) are kept under the same periods by our sales team.

We protect sensitive information using SSL encryption and maintain physical, electronic and managerial safeguards to secure the data we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, and request a copy of your data (portability), at any time. You can also update your details or cancel your account by contacting us using the details below. Where the GDPR applies, you may also object to or restrict certain processing.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

Your information may be transferred to, and hosted in, servers located outside your country. By using our website and services you consent to the trans-border processing and hosting of your data.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
